In 2009 it’s Brazil’s turn to hold the KENDO World Championships which take place each 3 years. The 14th WKC will gather together Athletes and people from all parts of the world to dispute and appreciate the ancient art of KENDO. The 14th WKC will be held in the cities of São Bernardo do Campo and São Paulo and it is expected to have a huge repercussion on enthusiasts, as well as the media.

130 Athletes will compete in the Women’s Individual Championship and 172 will participate in the Women’s Team Championship.The Women’s Team Championship will have 28 Teams competing.
166 Athletes will compete in the Men’s Individual Championship and 262 will participate in the Men’s Team Championship. The Men’s Team Championship will have 41 Teams competing.
